Religious Education

  • This summer, student activities will be provided during the fellowship programs. The format will be multi-aged and relaxed with games and outside activities. Please join us!
    • Our regular Religious Education program includes the following:
      • The Caring group (0-3 years) and Sharing group (preschool-grade 1) learn about Unitarian Universalism through seasonal and age-appropriate lessons.
      • The Acquiring group (grades 2-5) uses curricula from the UUA. Most lessons include a "hands-on project" to reinforce themes, be they religious holidays or UU history lessons. The curricula change yearly, providing variety for the children.
      • The Inquiring group (grades 6-8) learns about the limits of tolerance, liberal religious responses to racism, and other issues; attends selected adult services; and performs public service locally.
      • The High School Group explores their personal direction, attends selected adult services; and performs public service locally.
      • Adult classes and discussion groups meet periodically to discuss theology, social justice, and other issues.
